Gretchen Peters (Director & Founder)

Gretchen Peters is the founding director of Pearls Of Wisdom Academy. Her passion is to speak into the lives of families and be an encouragement through all of the hard stuff. She thrives in deep conversations about faith, family culture, and world events. Her vision involves sharing about purposeful parenting, marriage goals, being a loyal friend, and shaping your homeschool day around relationship building. Gretchen enjoys hiking, traveling, playing card and board games, or drinking coffee with old and new friends!

Christy Sherer (Kindergarten)

Mrs. Sherer has worked in the public school system as a paraprofessional and then started her teaching career in Montessori schools. She then went on to homeschool her children and has now been teaching with Pearls of Wisdom Academy (POW) for three years. She is passionate about working with young learners.

Kim Farr (1st-2nd Grade & Highschool Electives)

Mrs. Farr has her Masters in Education from Evangel University. She homeschooled both of her children and when she is not working at Pearls of Wisdom Academy (POW), she can be found private tutoring students or as a substitute teacher at the public schools.

 
 

Sarah Crow (3rd & 4th Grades)

Mrs. Crow has a passion for teaching and received her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Drury University. She taught in public school for five years before becoming a stay at home mom to her three children and deciding to homeschool. She is grateful to teach her children and children at Pearls of Wisdom Academy (POW) and to set them up on the solid rock of the Lord.

Lindsey Flori (5th & 6th Grades)

Mrs. Flori is a Dyslexia Therapist and a certified K-12 teacher. She has eight years of experience in public education teaching special education and three years in Dyslexia therapy. She has a passion for creating a positive, enriching, and individualized learning environment for her students where they always feel valued and loved.

Alexis Rantz (Jr. High & Highschool)

Mrs. Rantz has a background in missionary work and attended YWAM to study missions. She started her teaching career with a position at Dayspring Christian school. When she moved into homeschooling her children, she started tutoring at Pearls of Wisdom Academy (POW). She loves working with teenagers and creating a fun atmosphere for them to learn.
